Ginger Spice, is an aged chestnut pony, and her job in life was visiting burn victim patients to help make them smile. After a successful term visiting burn victims she started giving pony rides. Unfortunately a few months after she started giving pony rides she was found emaciated and in need of immediate care. NEER North rescue in West Newbury, MA was contacted to help rescue Ginger Spice. Not only did Ginger Spice need to start a weight gain program, she also had cushings disease and a uterine infection. After a few months of TLC, Spice started to come around. Friendly and personable, she loves to be groomed and would try to steal your attention away from the other equines at the rescue. She is now in a foster home that dotes on her and loves her. She deserved a chance for all she had done for children over the years.
