The ANNA Shelter Recognized at The Pennsylvania Horse Expo
Boulder, Colo. The ANNA Shelter was recognized by A Home for Every Horse at the prestigious Pennsylvania Horse Expo. The ANNA Shelter of Erie, Pennsylvania was started to help animals get a second chance. They put extra effort into getting as many adoptable pets new loving, life long, committed home.
As part of the recognition of the hard and compassionate work done by The Anna Shelter (http://www.theannashelter.com/); the sponsors of A Home for Every Horse presented the rescue with some horse-care gifts to take back to the rescue. Including; a new WeatherBeeta blanket and twenty-four tubes of Zoetis Strongid paste.With the continued support of A Home for Every Horse’s sponsors; Tractor Supply CO, Zoetis, Purina, and WeatherBeeta rescues are more equipped to help support horses that are found in rescue situations.
Guilynn Gray, Board of Directors Special Events/Fundraising Coordinator for the rescue, said “The most rewarding part of being an equine rescue is seeing the horses go from rags to riches! The transformations we have seen and how QUICKLY some of the horses bounce back after being in bad situations are amazing!”
“We feel that education is KEY for good equine ownership. As a rescue, we try to provide educational support to our community and spread the word about other educational resources that are out there”, said Gray. Gray continues to explain the importance of educating equine owners around the country young and seasoned owners as well as using networking to work with rescues all over the country. “We know that being a part of a huge network like A Home for Every Horse will help us be the best equine rescue in our region. We live by the saying "why re-invent the wheel?" By partnering with A Home for Every Horse, we are able to learn with other equine rescues from all over the country and share successes, best practices and even collaborate to move horses from region to region in order to find the best forever homes!”
