With a mission to advance the welfare and well-being of equids and the equestrian community through impactful initiatives and fierce advocacy, the Equine Network Foundation provides support in the form of grants and services to both rescues and other sectors of the horse industry.

A Home for Every Horse, the flagship program of the Equine Network Foundation, in partnership with Absorbine®, is offering facility repair and improvement grants to help rescues cover the costs damage caused by natural disasters.

To qualify for the grant, the rescue must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current member in good standing with A Home for Every Horse and the United Horse Coalition.
  • Have a rescue facility that has been hit by natural disaster within the last 18 months, in need of repair or improvements.
  • Qualifying catastrophe—such as fire, tornado, flood, hurricane—may be eligible for grant funding.
  • The project must replace or improve upon infrastructure that was damaged and has not been replaced by insurance or the like during the crisis.
  • Provide documentation of the event, damage and needed repair, including an invoice or estimate, along with a subsequent invoice confirming the job was completed.
  • Rescues awarded grants must provide before-and-after pictures and/or videos of the facility needing repair, along with details about why the project was needed.
  • Agree that any photos or content provided about the rescue for which the grant is awarded may be shared by Absorbine®, A Home for Every Horse, and the Equine Network Foundation.

Applications for grants will open on April 7, 2025. Grants will be awarded throughout the year until funds are exhausted. The minimum amount awarded is $1,000.
