Christa Dunlap was born and raised in a rural Colorado town east of Colorado Springs. It was in the wide open spaces of the eastern plains that her love for horses flourished. Having grown up on the back of a horse it is where she is most comfortable and has the most jubilance. At a very young age she took hold of the reins and never looked back. While pursuing a degree in biology from Colorado State University- Pueblo, Christa has never lost sight of her true passion in life; working with horses. Every possible minute is spent on the back of a horse and whether it’s working cattle, roping, branding, or simply competing in gymkhanas Christa takes great pride in a well-rounded, usable horse and it is what she strives for with every horse she swings a leg over. From working with reining and cutting horses at T-Cross Quarter Horse Ranch to interning with her idol, Chris Cox, Christa is immensely grateful for every equine related opportunity that has been put in front of her and continues to learn from every horse she is fortunate enough to encounter.
