Born and raised in Colorado, Taryn Hillman graduated from CSU with a degree in Equine Science and Agricultural Business. She has had a passion for horses from a young age and has been actively involved in therapeutic riding for several years. Taryn became a PATH Certified Instructor in 2007, helping individuals with special needs accomplish their goals while learning how to ride. When training horses Taryn always try to do right by the horse, using natural horsemanship training methods to gain trust and respect while working with the horse to create a partnership. Her goal is to develop quiet, versatile horses that most anyone can ride. Teaching and training, along with helping horses in need has become Taryn’s passion and she loves the rewarding experience. She has participated in Extreme Mustang Makeover competitions and now uses some of those mustangs for therapeutic riding. She also currently works at the Dumb Friends League Harmony Equine Center, helping to rehabilitate abused and neglected horses to give them a second chance for a better life and a new home.
