
Name: Rico Suave

Age: 8 years old
Rico Suave is a rescue horse from Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Rico as seized on April 17th 2014 as part of a cruelty case. He was one of 15 horses that were emaciated. Rico was a stallion when he arrived at Lollypop Farm but has since been gelded. He is a willing gelding and has never acted too much like a stud.

Name: Apache

Age: 4 years old
Apache is a rescue horse from Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Apache’s previous owner could no longer afford to care for Apache and knew it would be a little bit difficult for Apache to find a new home so he decided to take Apache to the rescue for a shot at finding a forever home. Apache is ready for training at the Equine Comeback Challenge.

Name: Louie
Breed: Standardbred
Age: 4 years old
Louie is a rescue horse from Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Louie was seized in a cruelty case in September of 2013. He was severely emaciated but with regular and proper nutrition has gained weight back and is ready for the next page in his life.

Name: Scarlet
Breed: Standardbred
Age: 3 years old
Scarlet is a rescue horse from Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Scarlet was seized in a cruelty case in September of 2013. She was lacking proper nutrition but has bounced back to health. She is a sweet standardbred mare but has not ever had consistent handling. She loves attention and is ready for her next job!

Name: Heston
Breed: Arabian
Age: 6 years old
Heston is a rescue horse from Second Chance Thoroughbreds. Heston was purchased at Unadilla Auction in October 2013. He was purchased by a local to the auction; a dealer was the only other buyer. Heston is looking forward to the Equine Comeback Challenge and his second chance.

Name: Neil
Breed: Standardbred
Age: 6 years old
Neil is a rescue horse from Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Neil was seized in a cruelty case in September of 2013. He is a Standardbred and has never been raced. Neil was severly emaciated but bounced back with regular, a proper nutrition. Neil is a handsome dark back and ready for the Equine Comeback Challenge and what life has to offer him.

Name: Red
Breed: Quarter Horse Cross
Age: 4 years old
Red came to The ANNA Equine Rescue via a large-scale cruelty seizure. She, along with 28 other horses, were found in deplorable conditions. At the time of the seizure, Red was only three years old. Along with four other mares, she was found to be pregnant. Red as spent the last seven months with a very dedicated foster family. Unfortunately she was not able to sustain the pregnancy and the foal was absorbed. However, it was somewhat fortunate for Red, who regained her strength very quickly. Her foster family began teaching her to trust again. Thanks to the great foundations Red has learned from her foster family, we feel she is ready to begin her under saddle training for the Equine Comeback Challenge.

Name: Dora
Breed: Paso Fino
Age: 4 years old
Dora is a rescue horse from Triple B Horse Rescue. Dora was a part of a seizure case with a group of other horses as a 2 year old and was fostered in a home for a short period of time. Dora has returned to the rescue to continue gaining trust. Dora is now ready to embark on the next journey of her life with the Equine Comeback Challenge.

Name: Robyn

Breed: Arabian
Age: 9-10 years old
Robin Comes from the Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village in Novelty Ohio. Robyn came through the humane department for rehabilitation after starvation in 2010. He was adopted out 6 months later in good body condition. The adopter lost her job, was unable to find him a home so Robyn is now back at Rescue Village and ready to start his journey with the Equine Comeback Challenge.

Name: Ruby
Breed: Paint Mare
Age: 6 years old
Ruby comes from Second Chance Thoroughbreds in Spencer, New York. Ruby came from an auction house in Unadilla and has been in a foster home for approximately two years. Ruby is excited for her 2nd chance and ready to make a comeback in the Equine Comeback Challenge.
