Story submitted by ResQue Ranch

Honeybee is approximately 34 years old and came to ResQue Ranch over 2 years ago. She had been found by a previous owner at another site emaciated, neglected and with advanced Cushings Disease. Her veterinarian suggested she be euthanized and fed to the tigers to support the feeding of the large cats at a sanctuary. The previous owner was devastated and hoping for a better option. She came to ResQue Ranch to visit with a friend – and, so our life with Honeybee began….

Phil, with his big heart and his sister tugging, brought Honeybee to ResQue Ranch where she now lives like a queen and loved more than ever!

After breakfast, Honeybee happily lays in Phil’s lap and rests before she heads out to the pasture for the day with her other horse pals at ResQue Ranch. Her Forever Home will be at ResQue Ranch in order to be sure she has the proper medication, veterinary and farrier care for the rest of her life.
